Pilot Program of Direct Cash to 300 Families Affected by the 2020 44-day War

With thousands of fallen soldiers their affected affected families lost their basic income as surviving spouses were suddenly unable to continue earning a living. Few had the financial resources to cope with this crisis.

The pilot program is designed to focus on giving cash directly through the “New Bird’s Nest Charitable registered NGO” in Armenia to about 300 children that lost parents during the 2020 war in Armenia.

To find recipients our volunteer social workers visit and interview widows of fallen soldiers to identify vulnerabilities. We check the identity of each beneficiary and follow up to identify and investigate potential fraud.

The pilot program is for 1 year, and committed to delivering $1.00 per donated dollar directly to the beneficiaries of the program ( i.e. no program overhead costs). All cash transfers are transferred on a monthly basis to beneficiaries for a period of 1 year. Recipients receive a message alert when the funds have been transferred in their accounts.
